URL parameters that can be passed to the Web Entry Form

If you want customers arriving at the first page of your Applied Rater Web Entry Form to see fields that have already been filled out for them, you can do it by passing URL parameters into the form. URL parameters can be included in the link that the customer uses to find the Web Entry Form. They can be used to pre-select a line of business, or pre-fill known information, such as the customer's name.

Personal lines of business

Information passed into the personal insurance workflow takes the form: https://entryform.semcat.net/demo/?home=true The above example uses the home parameter, which fills the Home checkbox on the first page when the parameter is set to true. (If you copy this example, or any of the others on this page, be sure to replace the word demo with the address provided to you by Applied Systems.) These are the parameters that can be used to check boxes in this way:

It is also possible to use URL parameters to pre-fill fields other than checkboxes. Text fields are filled like this: https://entryform.semcat.net/demo/?first=Josephine This example pre-fills the name "Josephine" into the First Name field. Parameters that can be used in this way are:

It is possible to use more than one parameter at a time. Parameters in a series should be separated by ampersands, like this: https://entryform.semcat.net/demo/?home=true&first=Josephine The parameters in this example both fill the First Name field and check the Home checkbox.

Commercial lines of business

Information passed into the commercial insurance workflow takes the form: https://entryform.semcat.net/demo/commercial/?property=true Note that the URL is different than for the personal workflow, and also that a different parameter has been used. The parameters that auto-fill text fields (like First Name) are the same as in the personal workflow in the above section. The line of business checkboxes are different:
